Lorena LoewNutritionist
Lorena has been professionally involved in the performing arts for over ten years. She trained on scholarship at the Joffrey Ballet School, and studied privately and semi-privately with New York ballet masters. She danced with the Eglevsky Ballet, among other companies in New York City, and subsequently spent 3 years teaching and performing abroad. Alongside her career in the arts, Lorena has studied conventional and alternative health and nutrition, and has helped numerous people realize their goals for healthier living and weight loss. Her holistic method encourages self-awareness as a means to self-actualization. Asking for steady improvement, not perfection, her compassionate nature puts clients at ease, helping them feel comfortable in her presence and throughout their journey.
Lorena’s interest in nutrition initially sprang from her own experience with dieting and its relevance to her performing career. Perceiving the universal nature of her struggle, she created Lithe Life to help dancers and performing artists reach their goals. She offers the personal touch only a fellow artist can share, and creates a positive environment conducive to achievement. Whereas conventional nutrition often does not appreciate the extreme requirements dancers, particularly ballet dancers, face, Lorena understands what is realistically required for a successful career in dance, and works within those boundaries. She takes an active interest in her clients’ lives and progress, and seeks to inspire them to realize their goals joyfully.
